Isn't she so cute!? Happy Birthday Liz, we are so glad you are in our family sweetheart. Here's a tribute to your first year of life.

Mommy and Baby meet.

She was so tiny - this is just a few days after she came home. . . only 5 1/2 lbs! The nurses all called her a little peanut.

Adored by all . . .

On her blessing day, she got to share it with her cousin, Elizabeth Knigge. Ellie was blessed first at Krystal and Daniel's ward and then we came back to our ward for Lizzy's blessing. Debbie fell asleep in the car, so while Chris was filling out the blessing information for the certificate, I took the sleepy girl into the chapel. When Chris came in, we were talking about that we should take her out of her seat so she could start waking up. Chris leaned over and said "Where is she?". I replied, "I don't know, where did you set her down?". Whoops! He thought I had brought her in with Debbie, I thought he would get her on his way in. Poor 3rd kid got left in the car on her blessing day. Luckily it was a cool day and only for about 3 minutes ~ and no, she hasn't ever been left in the car again.

In her first year she got to go camping in the backyard for the 4th of July ~ she loved to sit in her swing below the cherry tree and watch the leaves flutter in the wind.

She learned to love to suck her thumb. I'm sure Debbie was a great example. In fact she even showed her how to put it in and would push her thumb into her mouth for her when she was fussy.

Rocked by Emily ~ to sleep in the chair. She would never fall asleep like this for mom or dad, but Emily had a magic touch.

Went camping at Bear Lake ~ and she finally started smiling for pictures!

Sat up all by herself!

Visited the zoo ~ when she sees an animal, she twirls her feet and hands and circles and sucks in air and says "whooooo!!!" I believe she is the biggest animal lover yet.

Had Tea Parties.

Learned to climb up AND down the stairs ~ Lizzy left, Ellie right.

She is the sweetest baby girl, we are so glad she is here!
