Chris has Monday off of school for Presidents Day - so we took a picnic out to Lake Las Vegas. It was very quiet and peaceful - almost all the shops out there are closed and the golf course has been shut down (due to the economy) so we almost had the place to ourselves. The girls took a piece of their string cheese and stuck it on the end of a stick to "fish" after lunch. We found magical "hidden passageways" all around the Clubhouse and explored for a couple of hours the overgrown paths and mostly empty shops. We found paddle boats for rent on one side of the lake and are waiting for those to open back up - looks like fun!
