Thanksgiving 2010

Chocolate - Never eaten carefully in the Ryan house.

Waiting for football to begin.

Daddy played what started out as a Turkey Bowl, and ended as a mud ball game. It was lightly snowing and FREEZING! cold, so Lizzy warmed him up when he got home.

The traditional "Ryan Buffet" was served late morning and then mom cooked the rest of the day. It was lots of fun to do the whole meal for the first time.

I don't think Liz ever ended up eating one olive on Thanksgiving, but she went through quite a few. I have no idea where they ended up.

The kids were so full from the snacks that they barley touched the dinner. Then our neighbors invited us over to meet some of their cousins and kids that were visiting and we ended up eating with them. In the end, we ate our Thanksgiving (leftover) dinner for about a week - it was great!
While we really enjoyed making the meal ourselves and having the day together, we missed the loud group that we always have at one of our parents homes. It was really nice to spend the evening with our neighbors, the Conti's, and their family who all made us feel like we belonged there.
