It's Autumn Time in Erie, PA! The leaves are turning and it is so bright and colorful. The amazing thing is that the bushes have even changed to a bright red and the trees can be a mix of red at the trunk, orange halfway out and bright yellow at the tips. Wow! These leaves were picked up by Chris on his campus, pressed in his books and arranged by him and the girls for mommy. What a great husband.
Tonight we carved pumpkins and the best part of course is cleaning out all the goo. Lizzy loved putting her pumpkins top on and turning it until it fit just right.
This is why most pictures are just candid in our home - if you ask for a pose, you get a total cheez-it smile. Still adorable though.
Debbie's idea of a perfect evening - It's okay to make a mess!
Emily is so into school these days she wanted to save all the pumpkin seeds to split them into groups and practice counting by 10's to see how many seeds we had.
Dad's favorite part of pumpkin carving is to eat the seeds - so as the girls fished them out, he did the sorting.
Lizzy was first to finish scooping out the seeds, but didn't think it was clean enough, so she took a rag to it. Emily thought it was a great idea and wiped hers clean too. Debbie was happy to leave hers gooey - after all, this was a night you didn't have to be neat and clean.

Looks like so much fun! Our daddy has been gone all week, so hopefully we'll get our pumpkins done! How is PA? Your girlies are getting so big!

Now you know why i don't think that Fall in Utah is very pretty any more - it isn't bad, but it just doesn't compare! The leaves are STILL on the trees and beautiful here and it is the second week of November!
